the golden goose-5 stars

This story is about these three brothers and one wants to go chop trees and then he meets this man in the woods who asks for food and he refuses and later on cuts his arm off and goes home. His brother asks to chop trees the next day and meets the same old man and he asks for food and he refuses to give him food and he chops off his leg and he has to be carried home.
The third brother asks and at first he says no and then he says yes. He meets the man as well and he gives him food and the food turned into rich food(tasty foods). The man tells him he shall have great luck and to chop off a certain tree and he chops down the tree and he finds a golden goose and he takes it to the inn he was to stay in and the innkeeper had three daughters who wanted a feather of the golden feather. They both try to get a golden feather by stealing one and they both got stuck and they got three people stuck on them too. They pass by a kingdom who has a princess who never laughs. the sight of all of them made her laugh and laugh! there was a royal decree that whoever made her laugh shall have her hand in marriage. the king didn't want to have her daughter marry him so he told him to find someone that would drink a whole casket of wine and he finds the man and he drinks the whole casket. then the King has him find someone who can eat a whole mountain of bread and he gets the man again and he ate it all. Then he has him get a boat that can travel on land and the sea and he gets the man and he makes the boat and the king finally let him marry her.

Rumpelstiltskin

I read two fairy tales for a Cub Scout activity and I read Rumpelstiltskin and the Golden Goose. Here are the stories.

Rumpelstiltskin:It's about this girl who has a father who tells the king that she can spin straw in gold(What a dummy this king is!)and makes it so that she will die if she does not spin a whole room of straw into gold. Then this man show up and she gives him her necklace to spin the gold. and then the king makes her do it again in a bigger room and she gives the man her ring and he does it again. the king does it again and this time she promises him her first born son. the king now makes her his wife. she gives birth to her son and the man comes to get the baby then he gives her three days to figure his name on the third day she finds out his name, tells him and then Rumpelstiltskin kills himself.

The chronicles of Narnia 1-7 (5 stars)

I read this book and to make them all shot I'll do one story at a time. so it won't be a really long post.

FAblehaven 3 is finally here!

Fablehaven 3- The Grip of the Shadow Plague
In the beginning Seth meets Newel and Doren the Satyr's they take him to meet the nippsies which are really tiny people about as big as your thumb. They are at war which is extremely unusual for them because they are normally very friendly creatures.
Then Kendra is told she is to become a knight and everyone is worried because they are afraid the Sphinx is a traitor and he is actually working for the Society of the Evening Star. There is a boy named Gavin that is knighted also in the same ceremony with Kendra.
Seth and Coulter were playing checkers together when Doren comes along and says that Newel has been transformed into a mean satyr. Because the nippsies had bitten him he was infected. They went to try and rescue Newel but got bitten and so did Coulter. Coulter turned into a shadow. Because it works differently on humans than on magically creatures.
And then Seth is taken by the shadows to a demon called Grevious. (?) And says Grevious says that he can overcome magical fear. There was a tree next his cave that had a nail in it that was powerful and Seth had to find a way to destroy the tree because if it was destroyed then the evil woman would die as well.
kendra goes on a mission to another secret spot called Lost Mesa. She finds a secret way that has been lost for hundreds of years. The next night they (Kendra and her team) climb up the Lost Mesa and they are greeted by spirits that attacked them because they interrupted their ceremony. One person is lost. One person was a skin walker (a person who can change shape.) he was turned into a Stallion and grabbed Gavin and Kendra and took them up to the Mesa and left them there to help others.
they go through all the traps and they meet a dragon and talked with it and were able to go past. Then they find out the artifact they were after had been moved from Lost Mesa and was taken to Fablehaven. When they return to Fablehaven and tell everyone the news. Everyone tells their stories about what happened to them. And that night they are attacked by evil brownies. The brownies had set up 100's of traps and Kendra and Seth shove down a rocking horse and set off the traps so then they can go down the stairs safely. Then they escape the house safely. They run to the pond. There they are protected from the evil creatures because they can not go into the pond. The next day they make a party and all the creatures jump out and attract attention which Grandpa, Seth, Grandma, Dale, and Warren used to escape the pond to the haunted mansion. Then everyone turns to shadows except Seth.
Seth finds the artifact and then he presses a button and Patton (a man from the past) comes alive and they escape the mansion and they are taken to the pond. Patton talks to Lena and she jumps out of the water. She becomes human again

Fablehaven #2 -rise of the evening star-5 stars

Quickly! we're rushing back to Fablehaven! Olloch the Glutton has bitten Seth and it will grow and will eat Seth. Meanwhile the Evening star, the evil group,is attacking Fablehaven. And they are having these people help to keep them away and they teach the kid's stuff. And one night one of them gets Seth to follow him to this magical grove where they are attacked by this revenant. It keeps on saying remove nail. And there was a nail in his neck. It turned the other guy into an albino. But Seth got stuck in the cocoon that the guy choved into Seth's mouth. But Olloch the Glutton swallows him. The othetrs find thje other man but not Seth. Finally the frog digests Seth. And he goes intothe mansion that was there and is chased by a dust storm. Then he and kendra find each other and they kill the revenant and go into the tower it was gaurding and they fight this monster and then they have to fight a cat and they kill the cat 9 times and then they received this pot and this guy called the sphyx and they put the traitor into this box called the quiet box. And take the other evil person out. and the traitor thinks that the spyx is a good guy and a bad guy.

Fablehaven-5 stars

These two kids named Seth and Kendra are going to stay with their grandparents. But they haven't seen their grandmother in ( I guess) months. But when they meet their grandpa, they meet this mysterious women with coffee black eyes, her name was Lena. Their granpa said that their bedroom was in the attic. It was actually a playroom that they had to stay in.Their grandpa gives them a pair of keys and says that they unlock to a secret in the playroom and to find out what the secret meant.and they also met this helper around the house and he was always carrying these pans filled with milk and would leave them out in the yard. So for a few days Kendra looked all over for the keyholes.And when she unlocked them and found another key. And she saw another keyhole that was in the book. She put the keys in to see if they would fit and they did. Then in the book she found it says drink the milk.so she drinks the milk and it shows them a fairy world. to be continued....

continued.. And they find out that they are in a magical world called fablehaven. And that their grandparents are the keepers of the land. and on a nightmare night a tragedy walks up to the front door.There's this one horrible night. There is this one night called mid summer eve where all the creatures go wild.Too wild. And they are given all this stuff to protect themselves if the creatures break in. And seth opens the window and the monsters come in and their grandpa's helper named dale comes in with a gun and shoots all the monsters. When they wake up they go down stairs to see the house in ruins they look outside and they see Dale lying in the yard. And it turn's out that he turned into stone(don't worry he returns to normal later). And Lena and their Grandpa were kidnapped and they find out that thischicken called Goldilocks is their grandma and they take her to the witch Seth had met and she freed her but it freed the witch too! Oh no! and they meet these fauns named Newel and Doren who help them get away from an ogress. As a reward they wanted C sized batteries for their television. And they meet this big monster called Hugo. They use Hugo and they find Lena and the Grandpa and they attacked but got captured.And there is a law that you can't hurt someone if they haven't hurt you. Kendra hadn't hurt anybody so they couldn't touch her. So she runs to this lake and she grabs a boat and goes to the island and beated the creatures that wanted to drown her. And the talks to the fairy queen and she tells her what to do.she cut a cow and received it's blood. And she recieves the cow's blood and some of it's milk. Then she get's her blood and she gets the fairys to drink it. And they grew in size and the unfroze Dale and he stayed at the house and she and the fairy's went and rescued all the fairy's(they were imps)by kissing them.they grew into fairy's and they killed the witch. And the fary's were so grateful they kissed her everywhere and then they found out that she didn't need the milk to see anymore.
